The efficient running and retrieval of gas lift valves is a common challenge. Awkward mandrel orientation or significant deviation can make it difficult to rotate and align kickover tools and can lead to frequent misruns.

Wireline Engineering has developed an Enhanced Performance Kickover Tool that is adaptable for use with most types of gas lift mandrels and valves. Roller subs top and bottom, lift the tool and eliminate contact friction that inhibits access in deeper and more deviated wells. High-efficiency swivels allow smooth rotation, irrespective of well deviation or pocket orientation, making it significantly easier to locate the trigger every time. Weight bias has been greatly reduced to make orientation even easier.

This is a kickover tool that is significantly more reliable and tolerant of downhole conditions. It allows gas lift mandrels to be positioned deeper and at higher wellbore deviations than previously possible, and allows greater flexibility when planning completions and conducting well servicing operations.
