Wireline Engineering appoints New Sales staff and New Agent in Norway -
01.08.08
As Wireline Engineering's business has grown rapidly during the last few years, much of our efforts have focussed on developing markets in more
distant parts of the world. While reviewing our global development strategy, we felt that we had not always devoted the attention to some of our
more local markets that these so obviously deserved.
In a concerted effort to remedy this situation, we have recently assigned a dedicated Sales Engineer for Norway and appointed a new Agent in Stavanger.
Iain MacFarlane has accepted a new role as Sales Engineer for Europe and will largely dedicate his time between Norway and Holland, with the
former occupying the majority of his time. Iain's appointment will greatly increase our direct contact with our customers in Norway and allow us
to better serve this very important market. While Iain will continue to have his office in Aberdeen for the foreseeable future, most of his time will
be spent across the North Sea in Norway.
To supplement Iain's role, we have appointed Stable Services near Stavanger as our new and exclusive Agent for Norway. Stable Services provides
us with superb new facilities for the stocking of equipment in Norway and experienced logistical support as we endeavour to improve our ability to
deliver a local rental service. They also provide Wireline Engineering with excellent knowledge of the Norwegian oil and gas industry and together
we are confident that we will grow our Norwegian business to new levels over the next year or so.
